Im amazing! lol!

Im not really, but i just made muffins and they are soo good! I made a few in little silicone cupcake er.. thingys.. lol. for Briahna, and she is thoroughly enjoying them also!

I felt like muffins, and i felt like something lemony.. so, i found this recipe! So simple, but very very tasty.

Crunchy Lemon Muffins

2 cups SR flour
3/4 cup sugar
75g butter
1 cup milk
1 egg
Grated rind of a large lemon (I used 2 small lemons)
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar

Mix flour and first measure of sugar in a large bowl.
In another bowl, melt butter, add milk, egg, lemon rind and beat to combine.
Add liquids to dry ingredients, mixing just enough to combine.
Spoon mixture into 12 well greased muffin tins and bake at 200ºC for 10 -12 minutes.
Stir lemon juice and sugar together, without dissolving the sugar and drizzle this mixture overthe hot mufins.
Leave in trays a few minutes, but remove before sugar/juice mix hardens and sticks to tins.

They are GOOD. I like. I will definately make these again!

We had such a good time. I got burnt! But bree was covered head to toe in about a tonne of sun screen lol, shes so pasty i was scared she would get burnt!

Lovely weekend away!

So this weekend Briahna and I went to Waihi with Amanda to stay at her parents place. Left friday, and came back Sat. It was good fun. Briahna loved it there as they have a sheep, ducks, chickens etc. She had fun following them around!

It was Irenes son Astons 1st birthday too, which was the reason we were going over. Had a good day, and Briahna had fun with the other kids. She made a new friend, Ezra, who i think is a little bit older but she was infatuated with him at first hehe.

After that we hung around for a while, then headed back to Tauranga. We stayed at Amandas and didnt come home till today ha ha. I was a bit lazy and couldnt be bothered packing up Briahnas things so left it till about 2 hours ago haha.

On Sunday we took Briahna to Memorial Park, there was a MILLION kids there, so we decided against it and let her loose in the big field and sat around for a bit. She had alot of fun eating the daisies!

Briahna said "bottle". And of course I NEVER HEARD IT. I ALWAYS miss these things!! Grr!

So on Wednesday we are going to Auckland. We're getting a ride with Amanda and Potia as they are going on holiday to Aussie and i thought id save them some money buy dropping them off and picking them up. And i also get a week in Auckland with the grandparents and what not!
Yayness.

Anyways, thats our fun filled weekend ha ha.

Okay UPDATE!!

Briahna is now 14months, she is the coolest kid ive ever met. I think i make awesome babies. hehe. Shes walking around and trying to talk although not saying many words, but shes trying!

What else? Ive moved (about 3 times lol). Im now trying to settle into a flat with two guys i used to go to polytech with when i was 16. Been here about 2 weeks now and am enjoying it so far!
I felt as though i was relying too much on my sister, so i made the big decision to move out by myself of course with my wee girl in tow ha ha!

Im looking forward to summer, i cant wait to take Bree swimming. That will be fun. Ive got loads of things i want to do with her like go to the Auckland Zoo, and stuff like that. Cant wait!

So in Feb 2009 i am starting my course at tech. So Briahnas going to the daycare there (hopefully!). Im studying Animal Care, then Animal Handling. So excited but scared at the same time! I guess the main thing thats freaking me out is the "going back to school" part of it. Eek! My brain has switched to mummy mode, it will be hard switching it back! I havnt been to school for 4 years. I feel like i will be too old, but I KNOW i know, theres lots of "mature" students. Even ones that are WAY older than me! Doesnt stop me from freaking out.

Anyway, ive rambled enough. Time for me to go to bed or something.

So this last week we have been searching half asrsedly (lol i dont think thats a word). Not found much yet but have looked at a few and only been into one.

I got a letter from Alexs mum. Of course i sent her one first but wow, she actually sent one back. Surprised!
She wants to meet up and see Briahna. Im nervous actually!

Dont know what else to say im really quote boring.

Im not entirely sure what to do now. I guess maybe look after my baby?

Only 7 months and shes back for Briahna's birthday though.

Okay so today i slept till 1! oops! Briahnas sleeping patterns are as fucked up as mine! Into bed late then up late. Its so annoying. Not sure how to change it. I put her to bed at 7 and she wakes up a couple hours later then is awake till anytime between 10pm and 1am! Gah!

Today we are going to Newmarket to shop i think. Going to Tony and Guy to get hair products. Fun!

Other than that im boring as.

The fan hasnt been turned off in a week.

Today we went for a swim. First time this summer!

I wish i could take b, but no one will let me. Plunket says no so that means im not aloud. Apparently i have to wait till after her 5 month shots. Fair enough though! But soon it will be too cold and soon she wont fit her new swim suit she got for christmas.

Mum and Aunty have been back from England for what, like 3 weeks now. They go back in a week. I dont know what i will do when they go. I guess i have to just handle it but fuck i dont want them to leave.. It seems like such a short time that they have been here and now its over and they wont be back till B's first birthday. Thats an AGE away. AGGE.

Briahna is a little mushroom. But a beautiful one. Shes growing so damn fast, she will be crawling in no time! God shes starting solids! What next?

I HAVE to save money once we are settled in a new house. I mean if it takes me getting a part time job then i will have to. I will buy my ticket as soon as i can and that will make me save more cause i dont want to be poor over there. Plus i need to have saved up a certain amount to show whoever they are that i wont be stuck over there or bludge off their government or whatever.

Anyways, bubs is asleep. I shall go find something else to do as ive been sitting on here for ages.

I think i need a hobby!
